Along with the rules for those in cars, "over taking" people on bikes, may I suggest people on bicycles adhere to some laws of their own. As an operator of both a car and bike, I think Venice has some the RUDEST bike riders I have come across. Often they ride side by side and don't care one iota that they are holding up traffic. As a matter of fact, if you let them know that you want to pass, they weave all over the street. They also run stop signs like there no tomorrow. IF YOU WANT RESPECT ON A BIKE THEN GIVE IT!!!!!!

This issue isn't so much about Gjelina as about keeping this problem from happening again for another new business or escalating. The parking issue must be solved, its horrible. The increase in business popularity in this area and the lack of places for visitors to park is simply insane. And most of the 200 people who can't find parking spots are all trying to get into Gjelina for dinner so lets start with them since they've created such a fiasco!! Show your support -- even if you enjoy Gjelina and their food. Its about the neighborhood's future, not about withholding support for them as a business.

Congratulations!

It doesn't look like my street or side streets are "red".

I'm on the 2200 block of Ocean Avenue
And the side street is actually the bigger issue (Carroll Avenue).

Any way to know if we'll be getting the signs? I'm happy to get signatures if needed (I did a few years back).

Richard, what can be done to resolve this issue quickly. Our elected officials just want to pass the buck instead of insisting that existing laws be enforced.
